COSHH Awareness Training
Every year, thousands of workers are made ill by hazardous substances, contracting lung disease such as asthma, cancer and skin disease such as dermatitis. These diseases cost many millions of pounds each year to:
- Industry, to replace the trained worker
- Society, in disability allowances and medicines
- Individuals, who may lose their jobs.
An employer who undertakes work that may expose any of his employees to substances hazardous to health must provide that employee with information, instruction and training. COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Awareness Safety training is designed to give people an understanding of substances which are hazardous to health. Using chemicals or other hazardous substances at work can put peoples ’health at risk, so the law requires employers to control exposure to hazardous substances to prevent ill health. These measures can also improve production or cut waste.

Course Duration
This course is delivered over half a day at our training facility in Lincoln, at your organisations premises or at a convenient location for you. The standard course can be tailored to meet client specific requirements.
Assessment and certification
Continuous assessment by trainer. All candidates are awarded with a certificate of attendance which is valid for 3 years.
